Implement TIME WITH TIME ZONE type (timetz internal type).
Remap length() for character strings to CHAR_LENGTH() for SQL92
and to remove the ambiguity with geometric length() functions.
Keep length() for character strings for backward compatibility.
Shrink stored views by removing internal column name list from visible rte.
Implement min(), max() for time and timetz data types.
Implement conversion of TIME to INTERVAL.
Implement abs(), mod(), fac() for the int8 data type.
Rename some math functions to generic names:
round(), sqrt(), cbrt(), pow(), etc.
Rename NUMERIC power() function to pow().
Fix int2 factorial to calculate result in int4.
Enhance the Oracle compatibility function translate() to work with string

Ok. I made patches replacing all of "#if FALSE" or "#if 0" to "#ifdef
NOT_USED" for current. I have tested these patches in that the
postgres binaries are identical.

functions btrim() ltrim() and rtrim().
The error was that the character after the set was included
in the tests (ptr2 pointed to the character after the vardata
part of set if no match found, so comparing *ptr or *end
against *ptr2 MAY match -> strip).

Hi, here are patches I promised (against 6.3.2):
* character_length(), position(), substring() are now aware of
multi-byte characters
* add octet_length()
* add --with-mb option to configure
* new regression tests for EUC_KR
(contributed by "Soonmyung. Hong" <hong@lunaris.hanmesoft.co.kr>)
* add some test cases to the EUC_JP regression test
* fix problem in regress/regress.sh in case of System V
* fix toupper(), tolower() to handle 8bit chars
note that:
o patches for both configure.in and configure are
included. maybe the one for configure is not necessary.
o pg_proc.h was modified to add octet_length(). I used OIDs
(1374-1379) for that. Please let me know if these numbers are not
appropriate.
