From 2042b3428d3947987b27dbd4598fd9a5716ec9e8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tom Lane Date: Wed, 21 Jul 2004 22:31:26 +0000 Subject: Invent WAL timelines, as per recent discussion, to make point-in-time recovery more manageable. Also, undo recent change to add FILE_HEADER and WASTED_SPACE records to XLOG; instead make the XLOG page header variable-size with extra fields in the first page of an XLOG file. This should fix the boundary-case bugs observed by Mark Kirkwood. initdb forced due to change of XLOG representation. --- src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c') diff --git a/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c b/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c index 241f2550f6b..e78db91e77a 100644 --- a/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c +++ b/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c @@ -8,7 +8,7 @@ * * * IDENTIFICATION - * $PostgreSQL: pgsql/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c,v 1.121 2004/07/19 02:47:06 tgl Exp $ + * $PostgreSQL: pgsql/src/backend/commands/tablecmds.c,v 1.122 2004/07/21 22:31:21 tgl Exp $ * *------------------------------------------------------------------------- */ @@ -5448,7 +5448,7 @@ copy_relation_data(Relation rel, SMgrRelation dst) recptr = XLogInsert(RM_HEAP_ID, XLOG_HEAP_NEWPAGE, rdata); PageSetLSN(page, recptr); - PageSetSUI(page, ThisStartUpID); + PageSetTLI(page, ThisTimeLineID); END_CRIT_SECTION(); } -- cgit v1.2.3
